At BDO Lebanon, we are committed to maintaining the highest standards of financial integrity and accountability. As a Senior Auditor, you will play a pivotal role in assisting our audit team in conducting thorough examinations and analyses to ensure regulatory compliance and financial accuracy.

Responsibilities:

  • Plan, execute, and complete allocated audit engagements and assignments in line with BDO methodology and established timelines.
  • Lead allocated assignments, develop autonomy, and build confidence in liaising with colleagues and clients.
  • Conduct detailed reviews of financial statements, internal controls, and accounting records to ensure accuracy, completeness, and regulatory compliance.
  • Draft financial statements for non-complex assignments in accordance with IFRS, ensuring all notes and disclosures are accurate and complete.
  • Identify audit and accounting issues promptly, discuss with the engagement team and clients, and propose appropriate resolutions.
  • Assist and support Assistant Managers/Managers on assignments, responding promptly and accurately to queries and requests.
  • Communicate effectively to resolve issues and guide team members, demonstrating strong interpersonal and two-way communication skills.
  • Mentor and support junior staff, providing continuous feedback and guidance on completing tasks efficiently.
  • Collaborate across departments to ensure smooth and effective audit processes.
  • Stay updated on industry trends, regulatory changes, and best practices in auditing, accounting, and financial reporting.
  • Demonstrate professionalism, teamwork, and the ability to handle multiple assignments while fostering a collaborative and respectful work environment.

 

Requirements:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
  • Minimum of 3 years of experience in auditing or financial assurance.
  • Strong understanding of accounting principles (IFRS/Lebanese GAAP) and auditing standards.
  • Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and organizational skills.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, PowerPoint) and familiarity with audit software.
  • Strong communication skills, both written and verbal, with the ability to present findings clearly.
  • High level of integrity, professionalism, and attention to detail.
